EPISODE 11-Using Jericho to Promote Preparedness
Perhaps you're already familiar with a TV show that ran a few years ago on CBS called "Jericho". Or perhaps not. Regardless, it is this podcaster's decided opinion that there is no other mainstream TV series that is more valuable in drawing others into the Preparedness mindset and engaging them in an interesting story at the same time. Sadly, this series ended all too soon, as most great shows seem to, but we've found that sharing our DVDs of "Jericho" with friends and family is a great way of getting people to think about how fragile our way of life is and the value in taking a little thought about tomorrow.
Here is the link to "Jericho" at CBS (to watch online): http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/video/
And here is the other link I mentioned to the "Jericho" graphic novel series: http://jerichocomic.squarespace.com/

I wanted to let you know people are listening. I really wish CBS had not given Jericho the raw deal that they had. It is one of those series that network executives did not understand, so they bounced it all over the schedule. That will kill any series. The fans of the series actually ran a campaign where they sent bags of nuts to the network. This is what generated the second season.

Thanks for the comment, Timothy. It is much appreciated.
It is too bad that “Jericho” didn’t get more of a chance to be successful, as it had a great cast, interesting storylines, and (more to the point for preppers) a lot of well thought-out ideas of how a community would deal with such a disaster. Considering some of the themes it covered, I’m actually a little surprised it ever got made in the first place, but thankfully it did and now it can be used as a tool to get people thinking about the need for making wise decisions with their lives and not relying on anyone else to take care of their families.
